Before working at Refresh, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had? Before Refresh I was an account manager at an offshore manufacturing company which made clothing for many UK clothing brands - the most interesting thing about this was the travelling and visiting various customers' beautiful head offices and of course, trying on pre-season samples.
How did you first learn about Refresh? The first time I heard of Refresh was probably when I saw the job advertisement online, I then researched further in preparation for my interview, and I haven’t looked back since.
What does your role involve at Refresh Water? My role is extremely varied, and sort of difficult to describe in a paragraph. Basically, my main role is to look after most customer sales, I also look after customers throughout their agreement with Refresh.
I am also in charge of the website and marketing of the business and I complete tender bids on behalf of the company as well as completing many admin day-to-day jobs around the office.
How has working at Refresh helped you in your career development? Well coming from the fashion industry, the world of water coolers is certainly very different. I would say the thing I have developed most is my ability to complete tender bids, and knowing what the end user of the tender is looking for in terms of answers within the bids. I have also been able to develop my knowledge of how social media can assist a business with growth and getting their name out to the world.
Give 3 words to describe Refresh Water? Pro-active, teamwork and customer-focused.
What do you like most about working at Refresh Water? This would definitely have to be my colleagues. We have an excellent team, each and every one of us are willing to go the extra mile to ensure all our customers receive the same excellent service, and of course we have a bit of a laugh and plenty of banter along the way.
What is your proudest moment at Refresh Water?I have two, the first would have to be the launch of the new website and the entire company rebranding that occurred throughout 2017. The second would be being awarded a place on the ESPO framework for plumbed in water coolers and water fountains. Both of which I played a significant part in securing.
